Welcome to The Math Club
Math Club (3th-6th grade)
Math Club was created to stimulate excitement for problem-solving with math. Members of the club will be honing their math skills with a math coach during weekly meetings in preparation for math competitions and virtual tournaments with Perennial Math and Math Olympiads. Math competitions are usually 5 to 6 questions to be resolved in 30 minutes or less.
The club has a coach who will prepare a mini-lesson and math problems from previous competitions. During Math Club meetings, students work on the problems and share how they solved the problems. The math coach supervises the meetings, provides any needed clarification, nurtures a positive and supportive environment for all members and handles all the administrative requirements. All virtual competitions occur during club meetings.
