Computer Programming - Adventures in Scratch Prerequisite: Experience with computers Scratch is a programming language developed by MIT Media Lab where kids can create and share their interactive stories, animation or simple games. Using simple drag-and-drop programming, students can control their actions and interactions. In the process, they are subtly exposed to basic programming concepts such as conditional statements, iteration, variables, and event triggers. Students share their creations with the rest of the class at the end of the week. This is the class to stretch the imagination of a budding programmer. Projects by prior students can be found here. |
