The Youngster Classes - AM Mix and PM Mix
We believe youngsters this age love to explore and thirsty to learn, especially when encouraged and supported. The hallmark of this class is its small size and a variety of educational activities to grow the mind and spirit. There are a maximum of twelve per class and a student to staff ratio of 6 to 1. Students can register for one or more weeks of the Youngster class as activities within each topic (e.g. WeDo Robotics) change daily. See below for more details.

Youngster AM Mix - Yoga, Checkers/Chess, Lego WeDo, Arts & Crafts
Checkers/Chess - Youngsters are taught checkers and/or chess to enhance strategy or "thinking ahead" skills.  Our staff encourage discussions about life skills which can often be weened from game play like "Not giving up until the end", "Learn from your losses" and good sportsmanship behaviors.
Lego WeDo Robotics - Using the LEGO® Education WeDo™ Robotics Construction Set, the students are introduced to simple robotics through building models, attaching sensors and motors, and using a computer to program the model’s behavior. Some of the robot models include dancing birds, smart spinner, drumming monkey, hungry alligator, roaring lion, flapping bird, soccer kicker, soccer goalie, and cheerful fans. Students will also learn about simple engineering concepts such as pulleys, belts, gears and levels, while having a blast with their creations.
